Seamfree micromesh non-stretch RHT (Reinforced Heel and Toe), Italian-made durable 30 denier all-nylon stockings. For a touch of comfort and to enhance the durability, under the foot of each stocking there is a zone of reinforced plain knit nylon linking the heel and toe. These classic stockings were made in Italy (in PietraSanta), have a printed insert, and are offered in the original polythene packs, which probably date from the 1960's. The stretchy (mousse) stocking-top (welt) of one leg in each pair bears a white imprint, which reads as follows:
'Kyra
E' UNA CALZA Ambrosiana
INDISTRUTTIBLE ED ELEGANTE'
which translates as 'Kyra is a stocking by Ambrosiana Indestructible and elegant'. Of course, a claim that they are indestructible is definitely an exaggeration, and it is interesting to note that the spelling of 'Kyra' differs from that on the packaging. The pack contains a printed insert of thin card which extols the virtues of Ambrosiana hosiery.
