Classic Italian micromesh sheer seamfree 15 denier non-stretch stockings, RHT (Reinforced Heel and Toe). From the packs that we have inspected, these stockings feature an eye-catching, alluring, elegant pattern of contrasting Picot stitching in the underwelt. The welt and underwelt are in plain knit. They probably date from the 1970's, and are supplied in the original polythene packs.
In the one pack that we have opened we found a small, sealed, sachet which has the following printed on it (translated from the original Italian):
Madam do not forget to open this envelope: it may contain the Ace
This appears to be some marketing scheme from the time of manufacture in which discovering the Ace may have resulted in the finder receiving some unspecified reward!
'Orsa Minore' is Italian for 'Little Bear' which may relate to the constellation 'Ursa Minor' and its potential use in navigation, reflected in the maritime theme of the packaging.
