Fully-Fashioned, non-stretch 100% nylon; luxurious plain knit and believed to have a cuban heel. The manufacturer of these vintage nylons claims that they are knit in nylon which has undergone a special process to ensure that the stockings remain supple even when worn in cold weather conditions. The stockings have an an imprint on the welt; and, although the neither the denier or the gauge is identified on the packaging or in the imprint, we would guess these stockings to be probably a very cosy 40 denier. The legend
'NYLON CHAUD'
(i.e. 'WARM NYLON') is knit in contrasting (Picot) stitching in the welt. These stockings are individually wrapped in cellophane which is slightly creased, but otherwise in good condition for its age.The pack states
'At last - a warm nylon stocking'
and'A new procedure adds a significant improvement to the established characteristics of nylon'.
