Ultra-sheer plain/flat knit15 denier 60 gauge vintage Fully-Fashioned nylon stockings, originating from the United States of America and knit in non-stretch 'Dupont' nylon. As can be seen in the scan, these delicate wisps of nylon feature an exceptionally elegant narrow, extended Cuban heel stem, which almost tapers to a point. There is a white imprint on the stocking-top of at least one of the pair, and the underwelt is deeper than usual. The underwelt features the numerals '60' (i.e. the gauge) knit as Picot stitches.
NOTE: As is customary with fully-fashioned hosiery, the stockings are shaped to fit the contour of the leg, but on the samples that we have inspected we feel that the shaping at the ankle and just above is rather narrow, and therefore would suggest that these nylons are only suitable for the lady with a slender ankle.
These lovely nylons are provided in an unusual compact pack: perfect for the handbag. Some pairs feature a 'DARK PENCIL SEAM', which means that, by incorporating contrasting threads in the formation of the seam, it is darker than the rest of the stockings - this does not apply to the sample shewn in the scans.
