Vintage non-run mesh all-nylon non-stretch stockings with full Reinforced Heel and Toe (RHT) by Silver Bow, of Countesthorpe, Leicestershire, England. These nylons are knit in 'lilion' nylon, which the manufacturer claims is 'THE WORLD'S FINEST NYLON'. The manufacturer also offered the following guarantee, which, of course, Ho-hose is unable to extend to customers:
'These stockings have been manufactured using a process that assists the fabric to resist ladders far more than normal. Should you consider that you have not had fair wear from them you may return them for our examination and possible replacement.'
The denier isn't stated but we are of the opinion that these classic non-run mesh stockings are knit in a 20 denier yarn. A seam extends full-length under the foot from the reinforced toe to the reinforced heel.
The original polythene pack and the inner paper/thin card insert are quite crumpled, although the stockings appear to be unaffected by this.
