Ultra-sheer 15 denier 60 gauge slinky plain knit Fully-Fashioned, non-stretch 100% nylon. The heel stem is in less-commonly-found Cuban rapier style. These wonderfully sheer classic vintage nylon stockings, made in the USA, are individually wrapped in the original cellophane pack which is somewhat brittle with age, but is in very good condition.
The stocking tops have a fine, but distinct, delightful multicoloured feature along the top edge, which is repeated below the underwelt: these are the only stockings we have seen with this lovely, eye-catching feature, hence the premium price for these every special nylons (despite the rather 'ordinary' packaging!)
A subsequent purchase has uncovered more of this style of stocking, in a different colour, and in an alternative pack, which we have given stock reference of unbr4802095. These packs define the contents of these packs as being 66 gauge, whilst the orange/red imprint on the welt contradicts this with a lower gauge, i.e. 60 gauge. The multicoloured feature at the top of the welt of this style is just discernible in the scans. we have not opened the packs, and cannot confirm the style of the heel stem.
